Richard Ono
Richard Masayuki Ono, 84, of Ahualoa, died June 15 at his residence. Born Jan. 27, 1928, in Hilo, he was a retired officer from the Hawaii County Police Department, member of Honokaa Hongwanji Mission, Ahualoa Kumiai and Hamakua Young Farmers Association.
Friends may call at 9 a.m. June 25 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 10 a.m. service. Family requests casual attire be worn.
He is survived by wife, Shizue Ono, of Ahualoa; sons, Sheldon Ono, of Waimea, Crawford Ono, of Kaneohe, Oahu; daughters, Wendy (Lance) Awong, of Kailua-Kona, Dawn (Ryan) Fukuki, of Hilo; 10 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
